This weekend Anglesey Circuit will be alive to the sound of engines one more time, as we host our final race event of the season – a Winter RaceDay with a magnificent mixture of machinery set to feature.

This meeting is a kind of all comers, “Run What Ya Brung” type event, starting off with an open Saloon, Sportscar and Caterham-Type Cars Race. The entry is mostly taken up by Ford Fiestas, Mini Coopers and MG ZRs, although one driver to watch out for is recent GT Academy winner Romain Sarazin of France aboard his race-prepared Nissan 370Z.

Another popular category is Formula Ford 1600 which has gone through quite the resurgence this season, helped massively by the success of this year’s Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch. Matthew Cowley and Jamie Jardine will be two drivers to watch, with Cowley having taken this year’s National and Northern Championship titles in the Pre ’89 class. The McArthur family will also be out in force, with David, Neil and Tom all in action on Sunday.

Our friends from the Irish Global Lights and Irish Supercars will also make the trip across the Irish Sea to contest their final meeting of the year, with a fairly healthy combined entry. There are 10 Global Lights are entered with an estimate of a further 10 Irish Supercars set to join them, bringing the total entry to around 20 cars.

Additionally, there will also be a Two-Driver Enduro set to last 45 minutes that’s open to all makes and models interested. It’s certain that anyone with a penchant for circuit racing that wants one last fix before the off season kicks in will want to head to the coast on Sunday.

You definitely need your coats for Sunday, because it is going to be REALLY cold! Only a high of 8 degrees and a low of just 3! Nevertheless, it will stay dry and the sun seems as though it’ll try to peek through at some points. For a full breakdown of the weather for Sunday, you can find it here at ANGLESEY WEATHER. Be advised, there are weather warnings for Saturday, so if you are travelling up the day before, then please be careful!

Also, the final instructions, entry list and timetable can be found at ANGLESEY WINTER RACEDAY.
