AVON RENEWS KENT FORMULA FORD TYRE CONTRACT

The BRSCC has announced that it has agreed a three year deal with Avon Tyres for the Cooper Tire owned company to continue to supply the Club’s 1600cc Kent engined Formula Ford championships.
The contract encompasses the 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons and covers the Club’s two regional Formula Ford 1600 series – the Northern Championship and the Triple Crown Championship
Confirming the deal, BRSCC Chairman Bernard Cottrell said, “Avon is the undoubtedly the tyre supplier of choice for drivers in our Formula Ford championships. Avon has a deserved reputation for supplying quality, good value tyres, allied with excellent service, so I’m delighted that our long association will continue for at least another three years.”
Paul Coates, General Manager, Avon Tyres Motorsport added, “We are absolutely delighted to be able to extend our continued association with the BRSCC Formula Ford 1600 Championships in the UK. This is a great training ground for drivers and engineers alike, providing some of the most entertaining single-seater racing available. I am particularly pleased, in these straitened times, to have been able to hold our prices for another year.”
