It’s another busy weekend for the BRSCC and our race officials! The action starts today at Silverstone where officials from HQ and the Midlands Centre are running the Blancpain Endurance Series, for which the free practice sessions for the support races are already under way. Meanwhile, down at Lydden Hill, BRSCC Competitions Director is busy helping to organise the GB round of the new 2014 FIA World Rallycross Championship (more on that tomorrow).

Silverstone hosts the second race of the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series and the already impressive entry list for the opening round at Monza has increased to 45 GT3 cars, proving that the Blancpain GT Series is still the best supported and most competitive GT competition in the world.

The opening round of the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series proved to be a success. In the three categories the battle for the win raged on during the whole three hours of racing at the Italian temple of speed, with emotional wins for ART Grand Prix McLaren (Pro Cup), ROAL Motorsport BMW (Pro-Am Cup) and GT Corse by Rinaldi Ferrari (Gentlemen Trophy). But during the six weeks since the Italian season opener, the competitors have worked hard to try and improve their cars. Whether they have done enough will be shown at the three hour race on the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.

In addition to the Blancpain Endurance Series action, there will also be a diverse support package including the spectacular Cooper Tires British F3 International Series. Further entertainment is guaranteed from a full grid of Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo supercars and the stars of tomorrow get their chance to shine in the Formula Renault 2.0 North European series.
