It is something of a very rare quiet weekend for the BRSCC, as the Club has no meeting on the schedule this weekend. However, it is not completely devoid of racing as the BRSCC OSS Championship, the Ma5da MX5 Championship, the MX5 Cup and the MX150-R series will all be in action at the splendid Castle Combe circuit in Wiltshire.

Tony Sinclair heads down the M4 in confident mood having won both races at the Brands Hatch double header last month. However, the two-time OSS champion surprisingly lies third in the overall standings as Class B campaigners Darcy Smith (Radical SR4) and Ginger Marshall (Bowlby Mk2) currently hold the top places. Both will be aiming to increase their respective leads on the Merstham man.

The Ma5da MK1 Championship is proving to be as competitive as ever – the six races last time out at Cadwell Park produced six different winners but it is Welshman Tom Roche who sits proudly on top of the standings.

Luke Herbert arrives at Combe bang in form having won all three MX5 Cup outings at Cadwell. However, it wasn’t enough to overhaul Chrissy Palmer in the championship points table. There are only eight points between the pair, with Jordan Stilp just another fifteen points further back so all three Combe races will be vital.

In the MX150-Rs, Kevin Dengate is proving to be the man to beat and recorded another double triumph at Cadwell. Jonathan Blake & Stewart Mutch will be determined to ensure that the Whitstable man doesn’t get it all his own way this time.
