BRSCC MAZDA MX-5 CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2013 BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship has received a permit from the Motor Sports Association for full Championship status in 2013. The championship will be contested over 19 rounds at the 8 meetings listed below.

For the 2013 season, BRSCC Competitions Director, Drew Furlong, will fulfill the role as championship co-ordinator. Drew explained, “I have had a lot of contact with the Mk1 drivers in setting the championship up so it is a logical step for me to take on the role of co-ordinator this season so the competitors have continuity. Having access to someone during office hours will make sure that they get the service they deserve. I will be in attendance at all of the 2013 events."

The control tyre for the Championship will be the Hankook K110 Ventus Evo 195 50 R15 82V.  Tyres to be used in the championship (qualifying and racing) must be purchased via the nominated supplier, MOT Motorsport Ltd.  

All eight meetings of the Championship will be filmed by AJK Productions for broadcast on Motors TV and a hospitality facility for use by the drivers will be available in the paddock at each day of each meeting.

Race entries are now open to all registered drivers and a new website, dedicated to the championship, is currently under contsruction. In the meantime, you can keep up to date with the news and views from the championship via the drivers' forum.
