Fun Cup organiser, JPR, has created an affordable GT endurance series which comprises of the Sakers and many other GT style race cars.
The series features two classes, one for the Sakers and the other for GT/Sports and Saloon cars.
The Saker Sportscar
Robust, a real racing car, appealing and reliable...this is what Saker is all about. The Saker is an amazing spectacle which comprises two models: the immensely popular GT and the open top Sprint. Both are twin-seaters, boasting a mid mounted 2 litre, turbo charged boxer engine and restricted to 270 bhp. The truly slick power house is a commanding, yet ultra reliable machine, built for thrilling, affordable GT endurance racing.
The Saker Sportscar has been specially developed to fulfil the customer’s wishes. It is a solid, pure racing car, with a stunning design and highly reliable technology. Crucial elements, such as the engine and gearbox, are Subaru parts and have been used specifically to keep the racing affordable. The chassis was developed by Bruce Turnbull, an experienced well known engineer from New-Zealand.
The cost of a new Saker is low, starting from only £42,900 plus VAT and delivery (at time of printing).
Saker Challenge with Enduro Cup
The Saker is an already well proven product, strongly established in Australia and the Netherlands for many years. The latter currently entering its eighth year of the hugely successful Saker Challenge, with over sixty five cars having already been built.
The Saker is a fantastic opportunity for drivers to compete in a stunning, powerful endurance car, with sensible running costs.
Combining the Saker Challenge with the Enduro Cup, means even bigger grids and closer, more affordable, GT style racing. Cars entered in the Enduro Cup class include the Ginetta G50, Chevron GR8, Prosport, Porsche and BMW etc. Do you want to join with your car? Call JPR on 01538 306921.
The format consists of two half hour races and a forty five minute race with a pit stop, per event. So, this also allows the option of a two man team.
Running costs for a Saker
The running costs for a Saker season are extremely low compared with other similar-performance brands. The cars competing in the Challenge can have one or two drivers, thus enabling expenses to be shared.
Both the Saker GT and Sprint can take part in all kinds of national/international race classes across Europe.
Arrive and drive
Arrive and drive packages are also now available for the Saker. You can hire a car, or share a drive for a one off race, or a full season! Please visit www.sakercars.co.uk for prices and to see the various options available. Or, call JPR, on 01538 306921 for more information.
