It is a quiet weekend by BRSCC standards, with no race meetings being organised by the Club. However, the weekend is not totally devoid of BRSCC action as the Vortex Dunlop Ford Fiesta Championship has a double-header down at Castle Combe and the two Caterham Academy groups are at Blyton for their last sprint event.

An impressive thirty-four Fiestas will be out for qualifying tomorrow at Castle Combe, prior to the two races, which are scheduled for Sunday. The bulk of the entry comes in Class C, which caters for the 2-litre ST. David Ellesley started the season in dominant form winning the first three races, but things didn’t go his way at Silverstone allowing Nicholas Bowers and the Foley brothers, Andrew and Matthew, to overhauled David in the early points table.

Ian Scruton is the man to watch in Class A (Si), having scored four wins from six. Alan Donnelly is Ian’s closest pursuer and he won the other two races. Ken Bateman has taken four class wins in the Zetecs, but finds himself behind Andrew Mollison, courtesy of a DNF at Snetterton, allied to Andrew’s consistency.

David Abbott leads the way in Class D for the Zetec S, but then again he has been the only entrant for all but two rounds!
