LOGICAL WIN FOR TEAM RACELOGIC

The 2014 Fun Cup champions, Team Racelogic, put their skills and experience to good use at a soggy Donington Park on Saturday, winning the 1000Km race completing 294 laps in 8 hours and 34 minutes. The very experienced Team Racelogic pair of Julian Thomas and Nigel Greensall were joined by Jon Tomlinson and Zoe Wenham to form an unbeatable quartet.

Another experienced Fun Cup squad, Team Honeywell, were second just a minute and twenty-four seconds behind the winners. The team fielded three drivers, with the regular pairing of Neil Plimmer and Geoff Fawcett being joined by Zoe Wenham’s younger brother, Guy.

Taking the final place on the podium were DespatchBay.com team of Andy Bicknell, John Griffiths and Jay Shepherd who were just one lap further adrift when the chequered flag was shown at 19.55.

Away from the Fun Cup cars, the original ‘Mazda Six’ team morphed into three separate MX-5 teams; Pink Peril, Team Stevo and the Blues Brothers. Sam Smith and Steve Hart where at the wheel of Pink Peril and they were the first Mk1 home, finishing in a very creditable tenth place overall.
