The BRSCC Porsche Championship has a new title sponsor for the 2012 season in the shape of the Logson Group, the fastest growing packaging business this century.

The Logson Group Porsche Championship looks set for another season of significant growth, building on two successful years since Boxsters joined the 924s on the grid in 2010. The new season will see the addition of a Production Boxster class for the 986 model in standard form.

Ian Loggie, CEO of Logson Group, who made his racing debut in the championship last season, said, "We are delighted to be the lead sponsor of the 2012 Porsche Championship. The Logson Group brand was initially launched in January 2011 and this prestigious championship creates a platform for us to market our brand awareness strategy further. I’m looking forward to the first race at Oulton Park next month".

Loggie, and business partner Mike Stephenson, started the original company in 2004. It has expanded through both acquisition and significant organic growth to become the largest independent packaging group in the UK. With a 10% market share, they are now competing against the market leaders and employ over 900 staff at 18 dedicated sites across the UK.

Boxster competitor and driver representative Nick Hull said, “With the support of the Logson Group we are very confident that the championship will continue to flourish. The addition of the Production class means you can put a Boxster on the track for £10,000 or less!”

The Logson Group Porsche Championship will consist of 8 double-header race meetings and gets underway at Oulton Park on Saturday 31stMarch. All rounds will be broadcast on Motors TV.
