The Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain got underway at Oulton Park last weekend with the opening three rounds. Despite a brace of victories for Australian Scott Pye it was Ilford racer Scott Malvern who topped the points table at the end of the meeting.

Pye and his Jamun Racing Mygale had won Saturday's first race and Sunday’s second race but squeezed in between was a win for Malvern in his Cliff Dempsey Racing prepared Ray. Two second place finishes in races 1 & 3 gave Malvern a 23 point advantage over Pye who crashed out of race two following an incident with Josh Hill. Finn Antii Buri is third in the fledgling points table following podium finishes in the second & third races in his Enigma run Mygale.

Meanwhile, in the Volkswagen Racing Cup with Fuchs Lubricants, Didge Dziurzynski, the driver with the greatest number of race wins in the 2009 championship opened his 2010 account in fine style driving his West End Precision Golf GTI to a win, a second place and a new lap record.

Thanks to his Oulton successes the 26-year-old from Bournemouth heads the Fuchs Lubricants-backed championship by a 10-point margin from the other Oulton race winner, Derby-based Golf GTI pilot Peter Felix.
