The 2011 Star of Anglesey gets underway at Ty Croes on Sunday 13th March with the first two rounds of the Formula Ford 1600 series.

Aussie Jordan Skinner and Cheshire’s Lee Hannam took the respective Post 89 and Pre 90 titles last season after the final two races of the season were cancelled due to fog and ice back in November!

This year’s series will consist of seven rounds with a triple header on 22/23rd April and the last two rounds on 24/25th September.

The March meeting is the BRSCC’s first of the year and is being run in conjunction with Anglesey Circuit Club, who are staging a test day on the Saturday.

To kick start the season, the weekend offers some excellent value entry fees across all races. For example a doubler header race with a 15 minute qualifying session is just £175 and a full day’s testing on the Saturday is just £100.

In addition to the Formula Ford Star of Anglesey, there are races for Sports & Saloon cars, Caterham type sports cars and a 45 minute two driver ‘enduro’ race.

This is a great opportunity to blow away the winter cobwebs and get your car out on the track early in 2011. Two upgrade signatures are also available for any drivers needing to move up to a National A licence.
