* PICK-UP A FREE TICKET
This coming weekend at our BRSCC Racing @ Rockingham meeting we celebrate 10 years of the Pickup Truck Championship. As part of the celebrations anyone who arrives in the event driving a Pickup will get in free (driver only)! The Pickup will also be able to take part in a special parade lap and there is a competition for the best Pickups in the utility, custom & classic categories.
There are 6 races on Saturday including a re-scheduled MAC Tools SCSA V8 round & Ferrari Open, Monoposto & Formula Jedi races. There are a further nine races on Sunday with the Caterham Roadsports joining the fray. One of the main attractions on Sunday will be the Craig Jones stunt bike display.
Tickets are priced at just £10 in advance (booking fees apply) and £15 on the gate - kids go free so Sunday promises to be a great day out for all the family. Saturday only tickets are £5 and are available on the day – they cannot be ordered in advance.
Passenger rides for spectators on Sunday will run from 9am for 45 minutes and then the action starts at 10am.
* CALLING ALL MARSHALS
BRSCC are organising the new POWERnights events at Silverstone on Thursday August 2nd and at Donington on Thursday August 9th finishing with the third event at Silverstone on August 30th.
The morning and half the afternoon of each event is being run as a normal track test session. Therefore marshals are required for signing on at 2.30pm. The racing programme is schedule to finish around 8.30pm after which there is a free Paddock BBQ. Marshals will all get a free BBQ meal plus 4 free tickets for family and friends.
The race programme has been designed to ensure strong grids with each of four classes having two 10 minutes + 1 lap races, the second race grid being set in reverse order from the first race finishers.

* FREE TRACK TIME FOR FORDS AT SILVERSTONE
Ford Racing UK has been invited by Fast Ford Magazine to have an action display of Ford competition race cars at the annual Ford Fair being at Silverstone on 5th August. This event draws in crowds of over 12,000 and is a great opportunity to showcase the BRSCC’s Ford championships to a large and relatively untapped audience of Ford fans.
Any BRSCC member who runs a Ford competition saloon and would like to use the day as a free test session is welcome to apply. At present, the format will see us occupying garages and having at least THREE sessions on track comprising of one 40 minute session followed by two 20 minute sessions later in the day.

* MEMBERSHIP CARDS
Just a reminder to all competitors that if you are racing in a BRSCC championship you must be a Racing Member of the Club. * RS OWNERS CLUB NATIONAL DAY
On the 18/19th August we are running our Rockingham meeting in conjunction with the Ford RS Owners Club to bring together a weekend of racing and the largest Ford car club show in the country.
The RSOC National Day will attract one of Rockingham’s biggest crowds of the year with over 10,000 people attending. Saturday 18th will feature qualifying and racing including Pickup Trucks and MAC Tools SCSA V8s on the full Oval circuit, along with Ford Fiestas and Ford Saloons on the international circuit.
Sunday 18th will see the Ford RS Owners Club take over the show site with trade stands, car displays and lots more. In addition to the racing there will be track-time available exclusively to RSOC and BRSCC members on both Saturday & Sunday. The Saturday session is an open pit lane with a 98db limit and costs £35. On Sunday there are 20 minute sessions for three different groups. Groups A & B will have a 98db limit while Group C will have a 105db limit. The cost is £85. * BRSCC SUITE AVAILABLE FOR WORLD SUPERBIKES AT BRANDS
We still have one of our hospitality suites available at Brands Hatch for the FIM Corona World Superbikes meeting over the weekend of 3rd – 5th August. The suite which is well presented and is equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a fan, a full set of crockery/glassware and has the race commentary `piped` in. It also offers excellent views of the Indy circuit.
The suite is also equipped with a 42" plasma TV that receives terrestrial and satellite channels and is also connected to the official timekeepers system, so you can get all the lap times/grid positions on screen.
