* EASTER RACING

We've got two meetings over Easter weekend - both on Saturday. The new Enterprise Group Club F3 Championship will debut at Silverstone in an eight race schedule that includes the Alfashop Alfa Romeo Championship, the Formula Jedi Championship, the Dunlop Tuscan Challenge, the VSR V6, Silhouettes & Super Silhouettes Championship. The full timetable can be found at www.brsccco.uk/ calendar/timetables/ss15apr.pdf

Meanwhile at Brands Hatch, the varied programme features the Sports 2000 Championship, Top Hat Sebring Salute, Historic Formula Junior, BARC South East Track & Race Saloons and Formula Vee. The full timetable can be found at www.brsccco.uk/calendar/timetables/ bh15apr.pdf

* OULTON START FOR VOLKSWAGEN RACING CUP

The very well supported Volkswagen Racing Cup blasts back into action over Easter and looks set to enjoy another superbly competitive season. The opening rounds of the championship, which is organised in association with Hankook, take place at Oulton Park on Easter Monday, 17th April.

A switch to Hankook slick tyres for 2006 means that levels of grip and spectator excitement will be on the increase, while the championship's status as the sole saloon car support event at all the British F3/GT UK headline meetings underlines its growing popularity.
Volkswagen Racing UK director Sam Roach expects a thrilling season: 'With our champion of the last two seasons, Phil House, moving on, the way is clear for a new driver to emerge on top. But with the talent that is lining up, I'm not brave enough to predict who it will be'. The newest car on the grid will be the Polo GTI - so new, it is not even on sale yet in the UK. The 210 PS, 1.8-litre turbo- engined hot hatch is being given its world motorsport debut.www.vw- cup.co.uk

Carol will continue to be the Sports 2000 Championship co-ordinator and BRSCC South Eastern Centre Secretary of the Meeting.

* WIN A TRIP TO THE 2007 MONACO GRAND PRIX WITH CRYSTAL SPORT

Crystal Sport, who provide holidays to major international sporting events, are sponsoring reigning Caterham champion Jeremy Ellis in the 2006 Caterham Roadsport Challenge. To celebrate Jeremy's successes throughout the season, Crystal Sport are offering the chance to win a fantastic holiday for two to the 2007 Monaco Grand Prix, including return flights on a private charter flight, three nights accommodation in a 3 star hotel in the centre of Nice, airport and hotel transfers, race track transfers via train on both Saturday and Sunday plus two weekend grandstand tickets. Details of how to enter will follow shortly from BRSCC and you can enter at any of the Caterham Roadsports meetings that Jeremy will be racing at throughout 2006.

* NEWS FROM THE RACE ENTRIES DEPARTMENT

Race entries administrator, Jamie Pankhurst, would like to advise competitors that confirmation of race entries received at HQ will be made by postcard from now onwards. Jamie was inundated with entries at the start of the season so he didn't have time to issue postcards for the first few races. They will be issued from now on, except where a competitor enters after the Final Instructions have been released.

In this case the entrant will just receive the Finals and tickets straight away.

Also, with certain championships who have championship rounds in quick succession (e.g. Club Formula Ford and Alfa Romeos), competitors are leaving their entries very late, presumably in case something goes wrong in the previous weekends race. It would help us with the administration if you made the entry well in advance and then withdrew if need be - you will get a full refund if you withdraw by mid-day on the Tuesday prior to the meeting. Any entries placed after mid-day on the prior Tuesday will incur a C2A325 late entry penalty.
