* PRP RESCUE
With the season almost upon us you are no doubt all busy making the
final preparations for your first race of 2006. Have you stopped to
think what will happen if you broke down en route to the meeting?
In January, PRP Rescue, founders of Specialist Rescue Services with
over 20 years experience in the sporting world, launched an
entirely new motorsport race team breakdown service.
Aimed at everyone who takes part in motorsport, PRP Rescue provides
a membership scheme within the UK and Europe with a comprehensive
breakdown service including tyres to suit every combination of
equipment. 46rom cars, trailers, large transporters with trailers
and mobile homes, PRP Rescue have the answer to all your breakdown
and recovery problems. A competitor can be reassured of a network
of support ready to assist with any breakdown that may occur when
participating at a motorsport event. Your time and entry fee would
be wasted and you could also miss out on some vital championships
points and finally end up with a very costly garage call out. PRP
Rescue will put an end to that worry with an assistance programme
built around the needs of a competitor.
Just one free phone call to the control centre will produce the
fastest possible emergency response to your vehicles. A single low-
cost annual membership fee guarantees:
Unlimited FREE roadside assistance.
Unlimited Free recovery of competitor, the vehicle and equipment to
any destination if repair is not possible.
Dedicated FREE tyre call-outs (you only pay for any tyres fitted at
a later date). European cover (subject to separate application).

older BS6658-85 Type A (blue label) IS still acceptable but only in
the UK (NOT including Southern Ireland). If your championship is
running at a mainland European event this standard is NOT
acceptable even if it is a complete British Championship round.
As from the 1st of January this year ALL racing cars constructed
after 31st December 1961 (1960 for single seaters) are required to
have a currently FIA Homologated safety harness (seat belts). All
FIA Homologated harnesses will have a homologation label attached
to each part of the set. On this label will be the Homologation
number and a "not valid after" date. Once this date is past the set
is no longer homologated and will not be accepted. Please refer to
MSA Yearbook, section J regulation 20.14.2.
As from the 1st January this year ALL racing cars constructed after
31st December 1965 (1966 for Formula 2) are required to have a fire
extinguisher complying with MSA Yearbook section Q regulation 3.1.2.

already had these requirements in the past but now they apply to
the vast majority of cars in all BRSCC Championships. If your car
is presented at scrutineering and does not comply YOU WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED ON THE CIRCUIT.
