The Ford Fiesta Championship started in 1997 as a Club Championship, having formerly been a Ford manufacturer series in the T.O.C.A. package of racing. The first year passed with good average grids being seen, and successive seasons seeing the numbers grow. The Fiesta cars run to a strict Group N format, which means that the emphasis is squarely on the drivers ability.

The 2008 Ford Fiesta Championship features three classes of Ford Fiesta race cars. The Class A Fiesta Si (130bhp) is a front running car and is probably one of the most consistent Ford race cars to have been seen on the track.

Not to be outdone, the Class B Fiesta Zetec arguably boasts one of the best engineered cars for corner taking and dazzles lesser opposition. This 90 bhp car continues to gather popularity and always guarantees exciting race action.

Class C and now the Ford Fiesta ST will be an emerging significant presence on the track for 2008. Last season saw a handful of Fiesta STs racing, and now they will be joined by more and more STs for 2008. The Fiesta ST has brought further interest in the Fiesta Championship and will help to reinforce the magic which is Fiesta Racing.

Race day action is administered by the British Racing & Sports Car Club.
