2008 will see the Championship consolidate its enormous popularity and sees new talent ready to join in the only race championship solely for any Ford race car. Classes A, B, and C cater for the modified section with cars ranging from Escort Cosworths, through to Mark 1 and 2 Escort RS 2000s and Classes D and E will mirror the successful classes B and C in terms of types of cars, but differs in that it is for near showroom (group N) types.
2008 will see the continuance of a Class solely for the ‘historic’ with Class F for Appendix K FIA cars. Class G is for Ford saloons which conform to FIA regulations for saloon cars and are allowed to compete strictly at the invitation of the championship organiser.
Hugely popular with spectators and competitors alike, the Ford Saloon Car Championship continues to be televised and shown on
AMG TV will continue to film our racing and programs will feature on the highly regarded MototorsTV. Continuing also will be regular features in Classic Ford and Performance Ford Magazines.
Tyre manufacturer DUNLOP, continues to support the Ford Saloon Car Championship with a control tyre for the 2008 season.
Race day action is administered by the British Racing & Sports Car Club. 2008 will be the nineteenth successive year that this Championship has run.
